Gentle insights for a healing world

Waiting. But not for the worst.
Sometimes, when the noise settles and everything seems fine…
…it doesn’t feel safe.
That’s not because something is wrong.
It’s because your body is still learning how to be here.
To trust quiet.
To stop bracing.
To believe that calm doesn’t mean collapse is coming.
If you’ve lived with a nervous system wired for survival,
then peace might feel strange — even unsafe.
This is a part of healing no one really talks about:
how regulation can feel disorienting at first.
It doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It means your body remembers.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You’re just learning safety from the inside out.
🕊️ If this post resonates, I want to gently offer this too:
Feeling unsettled in calm doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It just means your nervous system is still learning what safety feels like.
There’s no pressure to respond — but you’re welcome to pause here.
